EVENTS OVERVIEW

UCC offers a range of opportunities for students to deepen their consulting skills and engage with impressive industry leaders from our sponsors.

UCC has four event offerings for our General Members…

Case Competitions

ICC Squad Recruitment

Workshops

UCC runs workshops to educate students on core professional skills highly sought after in industry. These workshops are either led by our corporate partners and sponsors or led by our Senior Squad and ICC Coaches. Topics can range from how to effectively crack a case, to building financial models. Participation is highly recommended to learn practical skills that can be applied immediately in case competitions and professional careers.

Case Competitions

UCC organises some of the most illustrious, sponsored undergraduate case competitions in the Trans-Tasman region each year, where students get an opportunity to tackle real-life business cases that challenges minds and fuels competitive spirits. These competitions are often accompanied by an educational workshop facilitated by the competition sponsor, providing high level guidance and advice on approaching the case.

Our competitions roadmap for 2022 can be found to the right.

Cocktail Evening

Our Cocktail Evening is our flagship networking event, where students are given the exclusive opportunity to directly engage with representatives from our leading industry sponsors across consulting, banking, technology and more. Consistently at capacity, attendees get the chance to better understand different career pathways, and discover which firms suit them best.

ICC Squad Recruitment

For students interested in getting further involved with UCC, we recommend applying for the ICC Squad. Squad members undergo an intensive training program to learn skills that lead to opportunities to represent UNSW in ICCs. General Members who demonstrate consistent participation in UCC events are looked favourably upon.

Recruitment drives are held in Terms 1 and 2 each year. For each recruitment drive, UCC Executives and Senior Squad members run an interactive Recruitment Information Session to provide applicants an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the recruitment process and ask any questions they may have.
